The Architecture of the Crust
There is a hidden beauty in the imperfections of bread—the scorched edges, the dusting of flour, and the deep textures of the crust. I captured this portrait as an exploration of light and shadow, using a single light source to really "carve out" those details and give the loaf a sculptural feel.
I’m so happy to share that this shot was Shortlisted for the World Food Photography Awards 2025. It’s a piece that really represents my love for high-contrast still life and the quiet drama found in everyday staples.
